    It’s much more than a car show; it’s an auto enthusiast weekend in Vail, Colorado. The Vail Automotive Classic series of events will include the F.A.C.C. (Friday Afternoon Car Club) at the iconic Hotel Gasthof Gramshammer in the heart of Vail Village, a beautiful Mountain Road Tour through the Colorado Rockies, a Country Western Hoedown Benefit at the Vail Golf Club, benefitting the local non-profit, Eagle Valley Senior Life, and the ever-popular Vail Village Car Show featuring vintage, custom, and classic cars with awards presented in all classes.

    This Labor Day Weekend tradition in Vail is a festival of wine, spirits, food and jazz set in Vail Village. This unique culinary festival offers an open-air tasting with world-class wine, beer and spirits paired with culinary delights from Vail's top culinary experts. Gourmet on Gore offers free admission to most events and a variety of additional events including an 8-stop Tasting Tour and Gourmet, Let's Go!, an adventure in lifestyle and culinary.

    Featuring an obstacle-adventure course set in picturesque locations around the country, in teams of two, kids bike and trek a 3+ mile course while encountering both natural and man made obstacles like mud pits, cargo nets, zip lines, water obstacles, rope courses, giant slip n slides and more. Multiple waves and start times maintains excitement throughout the event, and the natural terrain of each location makes each event unique and one-of-a-kind. In addition to the race, we also host a Family Adventure Zone with interactive recreational activities put on my our sponsors, including climbing walls, slack lines, cheer card stations, and more. Prior to the race a skills clinic is offered by local experts giving participants the opportunity to learn skills necessary for the race and build confidence with their teammates.

    Giant Slalom: Dual GS format with boys on one course and girls on the opposite course. One run per athlete. Slopestyle: The slopestyle competition will take place in the Golden Peak Terrain Park. The features are 2 small jumps followed by the disco dance box on the skier's left small jump line. Competitors will receive an overall score based on amplitude, execution and difficulty. Athletes each take one run through the course. Athletes will have a chance to practice the course during inspection at 12:00pm.

With a backdrop of beautiful music, Fielder shares his favorite scenes during 40 years of exploring on skis in the Colorado backcountry. We are all volunteering: speakers, team, partners – no one gets paid for their work. TED, Technology, Entertainment & Design, is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California in 1984, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives. The two annual TED Conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes or less. Many of these talks are then made available, free, at TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sal Khan and Daniel Kahneman.

    The Mountain Games has continued to grow each year and is looked upon as the top national event within the Outdoor Industry. The 2017 event saw a significant growth in athlete attendance with more than 3,300 participants and overall spectator attendance was estimated at 73,680. Under human power, outdoor athletes compete in 11 sports and 27 disciplines for over $120,000 in prize money. Lifestyle events include: the GoPro Outdoor Reels film series, the Mountain Click photography competition, and interactive expo area, Gear Town, the Mountains of Music concert series and the Outside Adventure Film School.

    An invitational lacrosse tournament for men and women featuring a large span of age divisions including Under 19 High School Divisions for boys and girls; Elite Divisions for men and women (collegiate and post-collegiate players); Masters Divisions for men & women between 30 & 40; a Supermasters Division for men between 40 & 50; a Grandmasters Division for men 50 and over and a Zenmasters Division for men 60 & over. Each Division plays over a period of 3 or 4 days. The tournament also hosts a youth lacrosse clinic for boys from 7 to 12. In 2018, we are looking into partnering with the Vail Valley youth lacrosse leagues and/or Casey Powell's World Lacrosse Foundation to host a 3 v 3 Chumash youth event.

    Participants may choose a quick and popular five minute class to learn the basics, or a 45 minute class on the popular Heart Rod Bus. Heart Rod is a donated Town of Vail transit bus converted into a classroom on wheels, outfitted with carpeted floors, video screens, manikins, and defibrillator trainers. Brightly painted, it's a very cool vehicle and a real hit with kids and adults alike. The Heart Rod is accompanied by the Heart Throb chase vehicle and a series of booths manned by sponsors.     The Vail Whitewater Race Series gives local and visiting kayakers, stand up paddle boarders and two-person raft teams the opportunity to race down Gore Creek from the Covered Bridge to the International Bridge during the peak runoff period in May and June. Each week a different course/format is featured to test competitors skills and provide exciting spectator viewing. An awards party takes place after each event at a local restaurant. The races takes place every Tuesday from 5 - 7pm. The series is presented by the Town of Vail, Alpine Quest Sports and the Vail Recreation District.

    Embrace the holidays with the annual tree lighting ceremony and lantern walk. On New Year’s Eve torchlight ski down and fireworks, ring in the New Year Vail style with the Torchlight Parade, followed by fireworks at Golden Peak.     VVP will host two 5-day winter programs in January and March, with a total of 50 severely wounded veterans and 150 family members, caregivers, and partner military hospital staff participating in private, full-day lessons with Professional Ski & Snowboard Instructors of America certified ski & snowboard instructors. Wounded veterans will work with the Vail Mountain Adaptive Ski & Snowboard School, while family members will recieve equipment rentals and participate in group ski and snowboard lessons with the Vail Mountain Ski & Snowboard School. Childcare at the Golden Peak Base Lodge will be provided for infants and toddlers. Upon arrival in Vail, veterans and their families will immediately immerse themselves into the group setting through a welcome dinner hosted at the Sonnenalp Hotel. The group will continue to dine together for all breakfasts and dinners throughout the week, visiting many of Vail's local restaurant establishments. Vail Mountain Adaptive Ski & Snowboard School instructors and program staff/volunteers will also be in attendance at group meals. These meals will provide beneficial socialization and bonding opportunities through encouraging participants to reconnect with their families and to build new relationships with others experiencing similar challenges. In the evenings, the participating veterans and their families will enjoy scheduled activities, including a ride on the Lionshead gondola to the top of Vail Mountain for EpicDiscovery activities and bowling at Bol Vail. All programs are 100% free to wounded warriors, their families, guests and military medical hospital staff.
