  1. Spring Back to Vail 2019 is excited to announce Steel Pulse and Xavier Rudd will be performing on Saturday, April 13, joining Gov't Mule on Friday, April 12, with free concerts at Ford Park presented by Bud Light, both starting at 6pm.
  2. While winter continues in full force in Vail, springtime is on the horizon. With sunny bluebird skies, warmer temperatures and still plenty of snow to be had, it's no surprise that spring skiing in Vail is a highlight of the season. This April 11-14, Spring Back to Vail returns to celebrate the end of season with a four-day festival of concerts, on-mountain events, après parties and more.
  3. Vail Resorts today announced a number of leadership changes to take place in its mountain division this spring. Doug Lovell, vice president and chief operating officer of Vail Mountain will retire from his position effective May 1, 2019. Beth Howard, vice president and chief operating officer of Beaver Creek Resort, will succeed Lovell, while Nadia Guerriero, vice president and general manager of Northstar California Resort, will be promoted to vice president and chief operating officer at Beaver Creek Resort to succeed Howard. These changes will also occur on May 1, 2019, and the search for Guerriero's replacement at Northstar will begin immediately.
  4. This Presidents' Day weekend, join Vail Mountain in commemorating the legacy of its founders and the 10th Mountain Division with Vail Legacy Days. The four-day celebration will honor Vail's unique history and pioneering spirit, as well as recognize today's service members and veterans.
  5. Beginning Friday, Jan. 4, Vail Mountain and the Town of Vail will celebrate the unique history of its founders with the 10th Mountain Legacy Parade.
  6. Following 13 inches of snow in the past seven days and with more in the forecast as the New Year approaches, Vail Mountain is now 100 percent open. All lifts at Vail Mountain are operational for the season, providing access to 5,289 skiable acres of terrain, the most currently open in Colorado.
  7. Burton Snowboards, the Town of Vail, and Vail Mountain officially announced today a three-year contract extension that will keep the Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships in Vail, Colorado through 2021.
  8. Emma, the world's first digital mountain assistant, announced today that she is now available to guide guests at nine Vail Resort properties, including Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado; Park City in Utah; Whistler Blackcomb in Canada; and Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in Tahoe. It's been an historic start to the winter season at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Crested Butte, with record early openings, plentiful amounts of snowfall and terrain, and conditions that are comparable to late-January last season. Now is a great time for skiing and snowboarding in Colorado, as all five resorts head into the holidays with mid-winter conditions and festive events.
  10. Today, Vail Resorts announced that Chief Executive Officer Rob Katz and his wife, Elana Amsterdam, have made significant contributions totaling more than $2 million to support emotional wellness programs in nearly every mountain resort community in which Vail Resorts operates.
